What's for Dinner??

Not Duck.
My sister and brother-in-law bought 4 baby ducks.
They were so cute and fluffy!!
The whole reason behind investing in such a purchase was not for the eggs, but for the duck meat.
Now - most people don't cuddle and play with their food, nor do they name them.
But since they were such cute little ducklings - they were named, held, and played with. It was known from the moment they arrived that they would eventually be made into dinner.
In order to prep the duck for Dinner time - the 'lucky one' has to be set apart and not fed for at least 24 hours previous.
Dad (Sean) went and set Wally into his/her own little cage (and of course it got very lonely).
The next morning Uncle Ben started to sharpen the axe and prepare to eliminate the life of this apparently delectable main course.
While Uncle Ben was prepping, Taison and Daimon were talking and visiting with the death-row inmate.
As I'm sure you've guessed.... they have not yet tasted of duck at their household.
Taison graciously pardoned Wally and they've decided that until there are more babies, they just can't eat the ones they have.
As Grandpa stated (paraphrasing), "A farm can get awfully big if you don't eat some of your animals."
